🛡️ Play Safe, Play Smart
Gaming at mycuci should always be fun, not a source of stress or financial hardship. This page covers everything you need to know about keeping your play healthy, the tools available to you, and where to find help if things ever feel like they're getting out of hand.
Let's be straight about it — gambling is entertainment. It's the buzz of a close football match at the sportsbook, the anticipation of spinning a bonus round on a Pragmatic Play slot, the strategy of a Texas Hold'em hand in the poker room. When it's fun, it's genuinely fun. mycuci is proud to be part of that entertainment experience for Malaysian players from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru to Penang.
But responsible gaming means being honest about one thing: gambling carries real financial risk, and for a small percentage of people it can develop into something that stops being fun and starts causing real harm. mycuci takes that seriously. Not because it's a regulatory checkbox — but because we genuinely believe that a player who is gaming within their means, within their limits, and with full control is a player who will enjoy mycuci for years. That's better for everyone.
Our responsible gaming framework at mycuci is built around four principles: Prevention (keeping underage players off the platform), Control (giving you tools to manage your own play), Awareness (helping you recognise early warning signs), and Support (connecting you to real help if you need it).
All of these tools are available in your mycuci Account Settings. They're free, they're effective, and using them is a sign of smart play — not weakness.
Set a maximum deposit amount per day, week, or month in MYR. Once your limit is reached, the system will not allow further deposits until the period resets. Lowering a deposit limit takes effect immediately. Increasing a limit has a 7-day cooling-off period before it activates — by design, so you can't undo it on impulse.
Set a maximum session duration. When your time is up, mycuci will display a prompt and optionally log you out automatically. You can also set up Reality Check reminders — regular on-screen notifications showing how long you've been playing and how much you're up or down in the current session.
Define the maximum amount you're willing to lose in a single day, week, or month. Once that threshold is hit, your account will be restricted from further real-money play for the remainder of the period. Like deposit limits, reductions take effect immediately and increases require a 7-day cooling period.
Need a short timeout? The "Take a Break" feature lets you temporarily suspend your mycuci account for 24 hours, 48 hours, 1 week, or 1 month. During the break period, you cannot deposit, bet, or access gaming features. Your balance is preserved and withdrawals remain available.
If you feel your gambling is becoming genuinely problematic, self-exclusion is the right tool. You can exclude yourself from mycuci for 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, or permanently. During exclusion, your account is fully suspended — no deposits, no bets, no marketing. Self-exclusion cannot be reversed before the selected period expires. We take this seriously.
Your full transaction history, bet history, and win/loss summary are available in Account Settings at any time. Reviewing your actual numbers — rather than relying on memory — is one of the most effective ways to stay honest about your gaming habits and spot patterns before they become problems.
Problem gambling develops gradually. These are the honest early warning signs to watch for in yourself or someone you care about. If three or more of these apply, it's worth taking a break and speaking to someone.
Regularly depositing more than you planned, or gambling with money earmarked for rent, bills, food, or family expenses.
Feeling compelled to keep playing to "win back" money you've lost — a trap that almost always makes things worse, not better.
Being secretive about how much you play or spend, lying to family members about it, or feeling ashamed after a session.
Using gaming as an escape from stress, anxiety, depression, or life problems — rather than as entertainment you actively choose when you're in a good headspace.
Regularly gaming for longer than you intended, missing meals, sleep, work, or social commitments because of gambling sessions.
Answer honestly. If you find yourself saying "yes" to four or more of these, we'd genuinely encourage you to use the self-exclusion tool or reach out for support.
This self-check is adapted from internationally recognised problem gambling screening criteria. It is not a clinical diagnosis — but it is a useful honest mirror.
The process takes less than two minutes and goes into effect within 24 hours of your request being processed by mycuci support.
